Sweed’s CEO Shares the Secret to Their Success

The Sweed team listening to company message.

Sweed has been on a growth streak for the past few years and this month is no exception.

On August 15, 2019, Sweed’s CEO Tyler Casebeer stood outside Sweed’s shipping and receiving area in front of a Conestoga trailer loaded with equipment and announced to the team, “The machinery on this trailer is another example of Sweed’s innovative thinking.” The shipment Tyler referred to contains components to a wire chopping line that utilizes Sweed’s new 150 HP Turbo Mill Model TM4030. The turbo mill is an integral part of the wire and cable separation system and will help Sweed’s end-user obtain higher copper yields on their low-yield wire. Tyler further explained that it is Sweed’s innovative mindset, combined with customer-focused service, and quality craftsmanship that continues to provide Sweed its growth opportunities and is the contributing factor to the company’s recent record-breaking revenues.

When 2018 came to an end, Sweed reported it as the highest revenue year in the company’s history. However, during the announcement Tyler explained that as of mid-August, Sweed has already exceeded 2018’s revenue record and is pacing to almost double that record by the end of 2019. Further, the summer months are historically a little lighter in regards to revenue and orders shipped but despite that, August is projected to be the largest revenue month ever recorded.

Sweed continues to be dedicated to refining proven products for a wide variety of industries while offering custom engineering and manufacturing to meet specific customer needs. Sweed’s team has devoted decades to creating product lines that are innovative, efficient, durable and safe; they are consistently challenging the status quo.

“Innovation is who we are,” Tyler said. “We think outside the box and provide heavy-duty equipment and superior service. This is the reason companies continue to turn to Sweed for solutions.”

Our History

It all started with an imported gang saw. After WWII, three brothers from Germany migrated to the United States and built a sawmill on Galls Creek in Gold Hill, Oregon. Dissatisfied with the imported gang saw they were using, they decided they could make a better saw themselves.
