Manufacturing Plant Journeyman Electrician (PJ)

We are seeking a full-time Manufacturing Plant Journeyman Electrician (PJ) to join our Team.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibility is to produce high-quality work in accordance with work instructions, under the supervision of the Electrical Manager. This includes helping your team meet daily production schedules and demonstrating strong knowledge of production processes, preventative equipment maintenance, plant organization, safety, and continuous improvement. Reports to Electrical Manager.

Primary Duties

  • Wire electrical starters and control panels.
  • Wire control panels with Electrical Supervisors’ approval.
  • Test run machines.
  • Navigate ERP system proficiently.
  • Help maintain electrical inventory accuracy.
  • Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Conduit bending.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Proven ability to consistently meet production schedules.
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements of the job.
  • Basic knowledge of production safety and procedures.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organization and safety.
  • Familiar with and able to use common hand tools.
  • Proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Build aesthetically pleasing control panels without supervision.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to Read Specifications, Drawings, and Project Information to Conceptualize Scope of Work.
  • Demonstrated propensity to build, assemble, and fix things (including programmed solutions)
  • Familiar with and able to use common hand tools and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in fast-paced iterative design and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.

Background & Education

  • Manufacturing Plant Journeyman license required.
  • Minimum of 2yrs experience in a manufacturing environment.

Special Requirements

  • Be able to work in a drug free environment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and health screening, as well as random drug tests.
