Versatile Veneer Saw
Three Saws in One – Saves Production, Time, and Floor Space.
Designed and developed upon customer request. The SWEED Versatile Veneer Saw has the ability to replace three saws within a facility, effectively cutting production time and space in half. It operates as a Dual-End Trim Saw, and a Cut Back Saw, or any combination thereof.
For example, the saw can trim load ends as it cuts back from 10′ to 9′ or 8′. It features a single 48″ End Trim Saw and an adjustable back stop that takes the End Trim Saw out of service. The use of a linear encoder allows this saw to make extremely accurate cuts on a repeated basis.
The SWEED Versatile Veneer Saw System has a dedicated hydraulic power unit and is controlled by an Allen Bradley PLC with a touch screen display. By cutting back and end trimming at the same time, valuable production time is saved; and combining two saws into one machine also saves valuable floor space.
